Thoughts so i recently talked to a friend of mine that said that he was for and against my new publication. He was for it because "hooray for publications", but he was against it becasue it competed with a couple of other local publications, especially *
SPEWS.

I do not think that they are in contention at all. A: one is a scolar ezine based out of sou and restricted to sou students. B: guerilla is not necessarilly complete scholarly, not an ezine, as of yet not credit with anything, and not restricted to SOU.

Competion was why i started guerilla to begin with. Why compete to get publish? let the big publishing companies compete with one another, let the little guys get people published.

that's it. Oh and a side note. My wife, beautiful. I want everyone to know that every day i fall more in love with her.

p.s. kevin, if i said anything to offend you last night about your blog, i am sorry.

It's hard to comment outside the context of the discussion, but I am not sure what is wrong with more places to send work.

One problem with student run publications is that, since students tend to come in 'waves', when a group graduates, it stops being their work, and becomes someone else's.

where i do not want to stop at being a student publication. why stop at sou, that's just where it begins. i plan on distributing first to the state of oregon universities, then the pacific northwest, then specialist bookstores in the larger, more cosmopolitan cities. After that, the world .i figure it will take about five to twenty years. i have time. Hence the name. Guerilla Publications, waging guerilla warfare on the reading community one reader at a time.

It's okay. Though I was completely offended, I simply drowned the pain away in mass alcohol consumption and ritual mutilation with a Bowie knife. I feel better now.

After-all, blogs are serious affairs, with serious consequences. Make an off-handed comment to one blogger and you have just made an off-handed comment directly to all other bloggers. So be careful, or I'll have to lend my Bowie knife to others. You wouldn't want that... would you...?
